For the Toronto Blue Jays, the year will be defined by hard work, discipline, and a love of the game. No actors, no comedy sketches, simply a real message from the players to the fans. A faithfulness to this message was retained successfully through the production cycle, exceeding the clubs expectations and exciting both players and fans alike.

When it came time to produce Buck Martinez new blog promo Sportsnet approached me with an open brief. I was provided with some photos and footage of Buck and in a weeks time took the project through a process of concept, sketches, storyboards, revisions, and final output. Rogers is extremely happy with the results.

For this animation I was tasked with a four day concept to live on air schedule that coincided with the most important moment in the baseball season. This animation was designed to capture the spirit of the playoffs by creating a journey around the world of baseball. The project was not only successfully delivered on time, on budget, and as promised but it also took home a silver at the 2009 Promax Broadcast Design Awards.

I was approached by Rogers Sportsnet to create an opening to kickoff the baseball season. The result was driven by the feeling and excitement created by first light, as the sun rises over the dew covered field. Simulated high-speed photography, created in 3D drives the tension and excitement while allowing the Sportsnet brand to be reinforced. The end result captivated viewers and was a great success, allowing Sportsnet to continue to use elements of this design for years to come.
