Image/letterform I have investigated the point at which the legibility of a letter- form is compromised by initially being decoded as an image and then as a letterform. Adobe Garamond Pro is my chosen platform as it contains highly recognizable features. Its normative behavior enabled abstract image qualities to be expressed while retaining the rhetoric of letterform. It was my intent not to subtract infor- mation from the forms to the point of abstraction or illegibility, but instead to impart a sense of image in the letterform.
